During the career students gain knowledge of theoretical issues related to security of information, computer networks, IT systems and facilities as well as skills in design and construction of security systems, and security audit of information systems and facilities. The Informatics graduates can work, inter alia, as security system designers, security system administrators, information security administrators and security system auditors.

The citizens of member states of the European Union, member states of EFTA, EEA, Switzerland or the members of their families who have financial means necessary to cover the costs of living during the studies, can study in accordance with the same principles as Polish citizens (they cannot, however, apply for social scholarship, a special scholarship for the disabled or grants) or in accordance with the principles different than Polish citizens.
